Bill began his Real Estate career in 1993 selling residential properties in Papamoa and Mount Maunganui. In the Mount he also worked with developers selling high end apartment blocks. He has also sold businesses and commercial properties.

 

 In 2004 he was invited by the Bay of plenty Polytechnic to develop a Property Studies Department and teach the National Certificate in Real Estate.  Bill remained the principle lecturer in real estate at the polytechnic for 11 years and during this time about 2000 salespersons graduated from his courses.
In total Bill has been involved in the real estate industry for some 26 years.

Bill achieved Agent Licensee status by completing the Graduate Diploma in Management Studies-Real Estate at Massey in 2002. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration in Economics from Victoria and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Waikato University. 

 

Prior to selling real estate, Bill was involved in a number of large corporates, principally in marketing and negotiating roles. During a period of employment with C. Itoh, a very large international Japanese trading company, Bill learned what it required to become a top-level negotiator in the business world.

 

In the 1980’s Bill managed a large kiwifruit development from bare land, in the Bay of Plenty for a syndicate of investors. Large orders for grafted kiwifruit plants under contract, together with several varieties of shelter plants, were propagated on the property for other orchard developments to supplement cash flow while waiting for their own planted orchard blocks to reach fruition. The property also ran sheep, cattle, and deer.
